The metallic light,
With a winter glow,
All the colours of January.
I observed these woods surrounding “Stourhead house, gardens and lake.
I keep going back every season it’s so close to where I live just over the border of North Dorset into Wiltshire and where the start of the River Stour forms it’s Watery path.
Last week mum and I visited Stourhead again and we sat on a brand new bench in the Kitchen garden area with the sun on our faces just to get a little glow and top up on vitamin D and noticed as the sun was dropping the Metallic greys of Winter really did stand out in such a wonderful way.
I used a large sheet of rough textured watercolour paper in Bockingford acid free, my Chinese bamboo brushes and a three colour technique in the Holbein range of Japanese Watercolour paints.
