Still life with figs and a branch of grapes.
In this still life, figs and grapes are berries and fruits that I love to portray.
The fig is unique in its colour scheme both on the outside and in section, the grape with its transparent berries and unique whitish pattern - makes you want to look and draw. And I often do.
In this still life, I was also drawn to the background image. I applied several shades of varnish and the background is lit from within.
The work is done on linen canvas on a stretcher.
The painting is offered unframed on the website, however, a wooden frame has been made for it and it can be purchased ready to hang on the wall.
