Original artwork description
Another lovely British bird the Song Thrush, closely related to the Blackbird. I loved painting him.
I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
