RossoTango was one of my first explorations of tango as visual energy. What fascinated me wasn’t the dance itself, but the moment before—when two bodies are about to connect, when attraction and control hold each other in perfect tension. That suspended instant is what I tried to capture.
I used a palette knife, pushing red to its emotional edge. It’s a warm, instinctive red—raw and physical. Deep blues and blacks hold it in place, allowing it to pulse. I wasn’t aiming to depict clear figures; I wanted to evoke movement, emotional vibration, and the space between two souls in motion.
This painting belongs to my Abstracts series, but to me it feels deeply human. RossoTango speaks of desire, but also of distance. It’s about a connection created not through form, but through gesture.
