In honor of my grand mom’s birthday, and to close out our birthday month, “Resting Place” is my newest painting, representing her love of sunflowers, and any and all things lavender scented. Some of my best childhood memories have her scent attached to them. And, each and every time I see a sunflower, I am reminded of her love for them, and my love for her. I like to think she is resting amongst the heavenly fields of flowers, be it the softly scented lavender ones, or the cheerful sunflower ones.
10×20 in size, and painted on canvas in acrylic, inks and collage. Varnished with an archival satin finish, and ready to hang right out of her box, with the appropriate hardware already attached. Painting is carried over onto the sides of the canvas, so framing is optional, but not necessary. Signed, numbered and dated on the back.
