I frequently visit the Portland Japanese Gardens, which has a large koi pond and many stone lanterns (ishidoro) displayed in meditative settings throughout. The sun was illuminating the vine maple tree above the ishidoro and creating wonderful reflections on the pond as the water from the nearby waterfall kept the waters stirring. The image continues around the sides of the canvas.
