How do you notice the arrival of summer? Of course, these little red lights on the roads and in the fields herald the hot season. I admire poppies, flowers of so strong red with such delicate petals that flutter in the light breeze. Every year in early summer, I try to get out of the city to stroll through the poppy fields.
In this small series of 4 works, I tried to depict, interpreting in my own way, poppies in a sunlit meadow with alternating spots of light and shadow on tall grasses and flowers.
