I first made 2 watercolours on a local golf course in order to get green grass in the foreground. Then I used them as studies to realise this painting. Successive layers of thin nearly transparent paint were added on top of each other, a technique which gives luminosity. (But it takes a long time because each layer must be dry before applying the next one!). In this work I tried to show the sunlight filtering through the trees and the tree shadows on the grass. I kept only the essential which gives the painting a minimalist rendering. This oil is ready to hang. The sides are painted black for presentation.
