Painted en plein air at Soberanes Point, Garrapata State Park, Big Sur California

This piece was created on site, surrounded by wind-swept cliffs and the rhythmic pulse of the Pacific. The coastal air moved fast that day, sculpting the landscape into motion, and I let it guide the palette knife.

Earth tones and ocean blues collide with windswept grasses and wild textures, capturing the quiet strength of Soberanes. It’s a portrait of presence, untamed, grounded, and full of breath.
