I painted these oast houses in my studio, from earlier sketches.
They are near Wateringbury, in mid Kent, where I used to live.
They were used to dry the hops after picking. This oil painting shows three oasts, beside the hop fields and a farmer and his dog.
It measures 10” x 14” unframed, and comes with a certificate of authenticity so will be a lovely gift to those who know this area of mid Kent. (ref 1525)
