This is the sixth painting in a series of my paintings about the morning outside the window, and a still life on the windowsill. I will post the previous versions later, above. This is the window in my art studio where I often contemplate the light from the sunrise, or sunset. The first thing that catches the eye is the stark difference (contrast) between here and there. The color of the entire painting is based on this contrast. In some places, the paint is applied thickly, pasty. The feeling of light is embodied with the help of color.
