Several years ago I was Artist-in-Residence for four weeks at Borgo Santo Pietro, a 5-star hotel and resort in Tuscany. The painting shows the approach to the main building, originally a 19th century farmhouse.
My intention was to emphasize the soft morning light, the shadows, as well as a balance of verticals and horizontals.
