This piece captures one of my favorite views, standing among California poppies, looking out across Monterey Bay to the peninsula. The kind of moment that just stops you… everything wide open, the air calm, the flowers catching the light like they were placed there just for you.

I used thick palette knife strokes to keep it raw and alive, like you could almost hear the breeze or feel the brush of petals as you pass. The trees frame the view, and in the distance, the land stretches out soft and hazy across the bay.

It’s for anyone who’s ever pulled off the road just to stare at the view a little longer.
