About my work:

At the start 2018, the editors of ArtFinder tipped me for the top as one to watch and invest in, picked from thousands of outstanding artists and now I’m ending the year as one of their best selling artists, I’m very proud of that.

Sometimes when I am really busy and my head is full of ideas bouncing around trying to get out onto a canvas, I like to take a deep breath and stand back, it is these times I like to paint my Monks, it calms me helps me to relax. I find it very tranquil, peaceful and it takes me back to a time I lived in a Temple.

It was a very rural Temple with part of it built into a mountainside and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the place but I decided it wasn’t the life for me, although my sister lived there for another six years.

I have sent my work to over 32 countries and to some great landmarks such as Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach in California and from Washington to LA.

To Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Monaco Monte Carlo and Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland to name a few, in fact, one of my best collectors is in Amsterdam which is not short of great artist or galleries, I’m very proud of that.
Blanc a New York-based magazine wrote an article about me in the November issue; it went on to say Ta has a special interest in character development and portraying “a little of the night…coming from my dreams and imagination.” This combined with her passion for colour psychology draws the viewer in and leaves them there, whether Ta is using oil on canvas, charcoal and pastels, watercolours, acrylic on wood or pencil.

To say that Ta is a versatile artist is an understatement—creating modern, contemporary, and folk art that includes portraiture and figures drawing in its vast subject matter and explores periods of Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism with influences from Botticelli to Lowry and Magritte.

Ta Thimkaeo: full-time independent Thai artist, creating large and small unique colourful
works.
