to be nocturnal, is turning everything upside down for you and me, for the owl it is a state of being.

This is a linocut and collagraph mixed print, the night sky and the moon is printed from linocuts, whereas the owl is a collagraph print. I first print the sky and moon and then I add the owl in another turn through my printmaking press.
Collagraph plates are very fragile, made out of matboard with pieces peeled away to give the changes in tones, it will only print a few times before being worn out, so this is a very small edition of 4 prints.
The print measures 18" x 20" (48 cm x 50 cm) in beautiful warm white printmaking paper, with the actual printed area measuring 15" x 15" (38 cm x 38 cm)
I have signed, and numbered the print on the front, please note, you might not receive the number in the photo.
