It's a strange thing this memory and the longer you live, the more amazing it becomes. You clearly remember events that happened many years ago, but the meaning of these events eludes you. Or your role in these events is transformed and changes its sign.
It's the same with people. You can remember a person as a person, but you completely forget his appearance. Or it appears to you completely different.
Lies suddenly turn pleasantly into the truth, and the truth looks quite unpleasant and more like a lie.
It's a very strange substance.
