Original artwork description:

A group of small yet bold abstracts with layers of paint and expressive mark making with a touch of collage. They were done with acrylic, pencil, marker, paper on heavy Bristol paper.

I've been experimenting with the use of texture and collage. This is a series of four small pieces on paper. They reminded me of dusk and sunlight reflecting off of a frozen landscape, thus the name. Each piece measures 12”x 9”.

They are signed on the front and back along with the title and date created.

I name my pieces by what phrase or saying hits me when I'm finished the piece. Sometimes a place, idea or feeling. These pieces reminded me of the land of the midnight sun.
