In July, the light is very special, and when it falls on the water, it creates a world of color that can hardly be seen at any other time of year. In this picture I have tried to capture the magic of this month - July and water go together perfectly. It was painted on unstretched canvas and then stretched on a stretcher frame.
The painting needs a rather bright place to shine and reveal its subtle colors. It's ready to be hanged without a frame- the sides are painted, too.
