This is a pop art digital collage that fuses Western sacred imagery with the neon-lit pulse of modern Japan. Inspired by the legend that Jesus once lived in Japan—and that his final resting place lies in the quiet village of Shingō—this artwork reimagines Christ as a contemporary urban wanderer. Bearing traditional Japanese tattoos of dragons, samurai, and geisha, he walks through Tokyo’s glowing streets, the cross on his shoulder casting shadows against izakaya lanterns. The visual clash between divine sorrow and pop-cultural vibrancy blurs the boundaries between myth, history, and modern reinvention, inviting viewers to reflect on how legends travel, transform, and survive in unexpected places.
