Every time I come to see jacaranda in Kirribilli, I always take a few photo of this beautiful little house with red windows and gorgeous foxtails in the front. I was looking for a plein air subject this morning and couldn’t resist the beautiful shadows on the pale blue wall, so this is it! Love this quiet corner, only a few locals passing by and stopped for a quick chat. When I was about to finish, the owner of the house came out and it turned out that he is into painting as well. He invited me into the house for some tea. Sitting in their gorgeous courtyard full of flowers, we had the most wonderful time chatting about art, food, gardening. He even picked a bag of fresh cranberries for me to take home. Such a wonderful morning! It’s just amazing to have all these unexpected encounters during plein air. I think I am now converted to a hardcore plein air painter :)
