Original artwork description:

This is a monoprint hand printed onto linen and then the finished print has been embroidered using simple running stitch and french knots. This monoprint was a development of my normal practice which uses inked fabric to create texture within my prints. I have further used one of these pieces of inked fabric to create this monoprint. I have used simple paper stencils to create the print. I have also used simple appliqué, some plain and some hand printed to add more depth to the print. This artwork comes framed in a simple bespoke frame.
