I am creating my paintings to explore how geometry and abstraction can meet within a classical spirit. The rhythm and the vibration of mathematics, light and sound are my inspirations. I am working in my studios - wherever it is - in Nice/France, in Vilnius/Lithuania or in Poland surrounded by local architecture and air. A lot of my inspiration comes from architecture, where balance and proportion whisper through stone and shadow. On the surface, each line and curve plays between order and freedom, tension and release. My technique is very classic. I use good, classic paints and true classic canvases that will last for centuries. Because I know that painting matures over time, like wine. I work on each painting long enough to be able to present it without shame. I make numerous sketches and explore colors until I arrive at a result I'm satisfied with. This ensures that the paint is thoroughly applied to the canvas with the brushes.
