This beautiful painting was done on an MDF board initially primed with three layers of gesso and then painted in the traditional style of an underpainting, and then 2 or 3 further layers of work.

This is a beautiful oil painting done on an MDF board. The paint is thickly applied in an impasto technique. I lived in Bavaria for nearly 5 years and I loved the light there.

I'm from the North East of Scotland and after spending various stages of my life in some other countries I seem to have settled here east of Berlin.


I exhibit my work locally, mostly in my own little gallery in the town centre, and at art fairs and other events, but I'm enjoying selling more and more of my artwork on online galleries, exposing my art to the world.
I am inspired by why the beautiful landscapes of places I visit, including the country of my birth. And also inspired by the female form, order female landscape as I like to call it. But I will never can find myself to any particular genre- it's not what you paint, it's how you paint it.
