Original artwork description:

Inspired by Eastern philosophy, this work explores the concept that all existence, or form (有), arises from non-being, or emptiness (无). The seemingly blank or negative space is not a backdrop but the essential foundation. It is the silent pause between notes, the space between brushstrokes, that allows the composition to breathe and for new meaning to take shape.

Part of the Ink Experiment Sensation series, this piece reflects the artist’s exploration of the meeting point between Eastern tradition and Western abstraction. The painting employs traditional Chinese mounting techniques, with xuan paper backing and reserved white borders, ready for direct framing and display.

Materials used:

Chinese Ink and Pigments, Fabric, Chinese Rice Paper
