It's a joy to live near the sea. It's such a privilege to spend time there at every time of the year, whether it's just a quick visit as part of my day, or a whole day dedicated to being by the waves (and sometimes in them!)

At this time of the year, the light on a sunny day can be very dramatic and this painting captures the sun low in the sky just as evening is on its way.

I am becoming more and more interested in painting the waves and the beaches locally - there are so many elements to study.

Painted on a Windsor and Newton Canvas. Signed on the back and varnished. The edges of the painting are a crisp white. This painting will come to you with a certificate of authenticity. You might choose to hang it using the wooden canvas stretcher, or you might prefer to add a hanging wire. Alternatively you could add a frame of your choice.
