Original artwork description:
Dawn at the Bass Rock was inspired by an early morning drive along the A1 on the way to Berwick Upon Tweed. I always enjoy that drive, regardless of the weather, because the sea is within sight for most of the journey after leaving Edinburgh. On that particular morning the sky was a bit overcast but the clouds were tinged with pink and were reflected on the sea.
