cosmic energy III consists of over 1,250 solid wooden cubes made of lime, larch, and maple.
The work is mounted on a rectangular steel frame and unfolds its effect through a finely graded grid of small cubes. These were precisely crafted and glued by hand, with each individual type of wood contributing to the overall picture with its unique grain and color nuances. The light, almost floating effect of the upper half of the image flows smoothly into a denser, darker texture in the lower area—a visual echo of energetic currents moving between light and matter.
The title cosmic energy III refers to the idea of cosmic forces reflected in the structure of the universe as well as in the nature of wood. Each individual cube becomes a carrier of energy and history – grown, shaped, and finally arranged into an overall picture that radiates both calm and dynamism.
