This mixed-media collage is part of Disjointed Reality, a series that explores fractured perception, interrupted memory, and the tension between structure and instability. Layered papers, paint, and gestural marks are built up and partially erased, creating a visual rhythm that feels both constructed and unsettled.
Vertical passages suggest boundaries, thresholds, or figures in transition, while scraped surfaces and embedded fragments hold traces of earlier decisions. The work resists a single point of entry, inviting the viewer to move slowly through moments of clarity and disruption.
This piece reflects the way memory reorganizes itself over time—never linear, never complete, but emotionally precise.
This is an original collage painting created by me, Kris Haas. It is made with ink, oil, gouache, tempera paint along with polyurethane on watercolor paper or canvas collaged onto 340pound watercolor paper. Some of the collage papers vary in thickness from 80lb - 140lb and the watercolor paper can vary from 140lb - 300lb.
You will receive a certificate of authenticity on the back of your painting and it is ready to hang with hardware attached. It is sprayed with an archival coating.
