Original artwork description:

This painting feels like a natural progression from my umbrella series. Those works weren’t dark by any means, but they were created at a time when I was quietly seeking a bit of protection and steadiness. This new piece is bright, fun, and carries a sense of release – as if the sting of the past is fading a little. My son described it beautifully: “it’s like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis.”
