A painting based on a photograph taken by a master gardener I once worked with, capturing a bird nestled among her flowers. I found the image fascinating because the bird was so well camouflaged, it blended seamlessly with the surrounding blooms. I really enjoyed the challenge of painting it, trying to recreate that "hidden object" effect. I also deeply admire the gardener; I learned so much from her during our time working together. This piece felt especially meaningful to create.
