I’m drawn to details and what I call “collections”—groupings of similar objects that invite close observation. In this painting, I focused on apricots, capturing both their similarities and subtle differences. The composition invites the viewer to get lost in the details or simply enjoy the harmony of the whole.

The vibrant palette—rich yellows, deep oranges, and bright reds — was inspired by a visit to the food market in Cascais, where these fruits glowed with warmth and ripeness.

Though painted in a vertical format, the piece can also be displayed horizontally, depending on what feels most pleasing to the viewer.
