I visited Angkor Wat in my first overseas backpacking trip many years ago, when there were not too many tourists yet and most people we met are monks in orange robes and local kids playing in the ancient relics. The sunrise was spectacular, beautiful reflection of the wats in the water lily ponds. I wish I could go back in time to travel freely and enjoy the serenity again, watching local kids picking up water lilies in the ponds.
