The result of my first trip to Provence was a collection of paintings with lavender flowers. In this work, I decided to paint an abstract lavender field that looks like a huge lilac-purple sea with blue mountains on the horizon. For this task, I chose a palette knife to better display the transitions of colors and in-between tints.
This work is from the "Lavender and Provence" collection.
