Original artwork description:
This painting features in a minimalist way the Southern side of Pic Saint-Loup, an emblematic mountain in Hérault, located just north of Montpellier (South of France). It gave its name to the famous eponymous wine appellation. It is surrounded by vineyards and scrubland. I see it everyday from my studio and tried here to focus on the essential, leaving out all details. This minimalist treatment gives a semi-abstract aspect to this work and conveys a feeling of joy combined with peace and serenity. This painting made on a linen canvas is framed (see last photos) and ready to hang.(also available without a frame on request)
