Artist's description:

A workshop accident encouraged me to research the possibilities offered by the drip technique and gestural works or similar treatment. In a second moment, the studies on the formation of images in our brain, texts and Impressionist works, instigated me in the challenge of building figurative images from drip control and the emerged chance. Layers of acrylic diluted paint are dripped and displaced by gravity forming stains with dashes and dots destroying and rebuilding a theme of human figures in everyday scenes. The intention is to offer the viewer, though a set of colored spots, a bidimencional or almost abstract image, with the effect of clouds in making us imagine shapes. I seek, through the spots, a mysterious image, I desire to awaken curiosity, engage the observer by the wealth of details. I’m still researching a possible difficulty to express myself on this piece of work or convey to the observer, when in reproductions change the proportions of the dots and spaces in relation to the original image. Another starting point was the interest in painting human scenes like an illustration from a book, but with confused images, therefore with several possibilities of stories. I believe in the emerged chance through the mixtures of diluted ink to bring a deed of lightness and doubt. I see an aesthetic result varying between the classic and the abstract. I believe it to be a good seed to explore, listen, understand, fix and build a visual game, an invitation to the imaginary, in the form of a cloud of colors and illusions.
