Inspired by a beautiful warm day at the beach, filled with blue skies and the whispy clouds moving in the light wind. The sound of the waves crashing and the smell of the salty ocean air.
The process used to create these is through a layering technique. I first apply texture paste to build areas of thick, raised texture. I then use thin layers of paint to build up the different colours and create glazed effects. Each layer is painted and left to dry. I use a combination of brushes and pallette knives to create the various effects.
This piece is painted on deep gallery canvas and is ready to hang (strung with wire at the back)
