"Tondi per Inciso" ("Round by the way") is the title of a series of works I made engraving and printing discs of zinc with the technique of aquatint and etching. The discs had different diameters. To make the incision, I used an old record player of my father by creating concentric signs. I then made three sheets where these discs were moved position in each copy, effectively creating unique pieces.
This is the press of a single circle, the first one I made.
One of these sheet is published in the catalog of the exhibition "I decolonizzatori dell'Immaginario" Artisti per la decrescita, 2011, Primp edition, Turin.) This is the last remaining of the first run.
Each print is hand made in my laboratory, so you may encounter differences from one print copy to another. All my Prints are signed, numbered and stored. In the case of subsequent runs matrices are marked to make the work unique.
