This is the 7th in an ongoing series called 'The Journey'. These paintings are abstract landscapes with vibrant, textured skies and featuring a number of recurring motifs: the dark mountain terrain, the skeletal 'dead' trees and the mysterious figure. Some of the pieces feature all these elements, other not.
I like the idea of 'The Journey' in that we all on one through life, with different elements emerging as time passes. I like also that - by not specifying details of the landscape or the figure, the that people can create their own 'stories' around the image - and not simply be told 'an answer'.
This is my largest piece to date, measuring 90cm x 90cm. Please note the 'in room' picture is for display purposes only - this a deep box canvas with the image painted to the edge of the canvas.
Acrylic and satin varnish spray to seal.
