The inspiration for starting this work was the shade of the Oleander plant that lives in my studio. As I admired the beautiful shadows of the leaves, I imagined the flower and painted it in watercolor.

I love to look for meaning in the shadows that plants cast. By interpreting them in my own way I live each image and paint as my heart sees it. I don't set out to write in the same way. By departing from the usual view of nature I see flowers in the shadows of the leaves and vice versa. My work is expressive but filled with love and tranquility at the same time.
