The leaves in this old growth forest turns a brilliant yellow in the fall. I have several pieces on the theme, and they are by far the most colorful of my seasonal landscape paintings. Fall in this area is the time for vivid color, and the light shining through the leaving takes on a jewel like quality. This piece is painted on masonite, mounted on a 1 " deep brace that is flush with the edge of the painting. See photos of side view.
