Artist's description:

The house is a very general and polysemous term. It accompanied man since the beginning of his existence, throughout the all phases of evolution. Above and beyond its sensual and psychological meanings it is considered as a piece of architecture. The most popular definition of the house would be a building with residential function. Architecture of family houses just like man or technology is under constant development. Especially notable and expressive changes of its form have began at the beginning of 20th century, mainly because and through the theories and realisations of the modernist architecture masters. They have all left their mark on the current look and way of building housing architecture. ‘The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own civilization’
M. D. Bardeschi, Frank Lloyd Wright, Firenze 1970
