Artist's description:

Second of a series of four watercolours painted in South Africa and all that survive of the artists large output from residence in that country. The original will not be sold for sentimental reasons and only one print will be produced of that work so as to ensure its value to the buyer. In addition, in producing a print the artist has the opportunity to better present the merit of the original by increasing the size dramatically to allow the colours to be produced on a larger scale than would otherwise be possible.

Materials used:

heaviweight high quality watercolour paper with finest quality watercolour paints

part of an old stone wall (1983)
