Artist's description:

The bell consists of one single spiral, partly hollowed inside, which makes the sound extremely fine and long drawn, in 800 silver like the pendant. For a sample of its sound, please visit my homepage, , and click the button "Play the bells one by one", which is under the group picture of the bells. Hammer in 935 Sterling silver. The mirror, a simple glass mirror which I have provided with a half-opaque edge, is held in a firm grip by an octopus in 950 silver and rhodium plated. The holy animal of the Polynesians is viewing itself also in a shiny rhodium surface, which is more or less plane, but on the opposite side from the mirror viewer. The whole is pretty tall, total height 65 mm, and so hardly suitable as a piece to wear every day. Signed and hallmarked inside well above the brim. Due to Artfinders' conditions about the minimum size, I can only state it here:
Height: 65 mm
Weight: 12 grams

Materials used:

silver, copper, glass mirror

octopus bell (2014)
