This was my first ‘pure’ attempt to use a visual metaphor: morning glory vine superimposed over a dawn sky, framed within a arched ‘window’ of light moving upward from black to dark blue. My hope is that the image conveys the idea in the name of the flowering vine. The painting is 16x20, acrylic on canvas, framed in a gold 5-inch plein air frame (wood) that brings the overall dimensions to 26x30. Signed and dated in verso, the painting also bears my mark on the front and ships with a digitally-registered certificate of authenticity.
