Mount Wellington (1270metres - also known as kunyani) rises straight out of the sea behind Hobart in Tasmania. The peak is often snow capped, but always offers great walking and spectacular views. Some days you can see far out across the Tasman Sea and, looking inland, into the wild South West National Park, a World Heritage Area.
On other days, you can hardly see your feet.
"OK,OK," you might be asking yourself, "but why is 'LOVERS' included in the title?"
Well, you never know what you might come across, and right in the middle of the painting is a record of something that I stumbled across one day when walking near the summit. But you have to look really hard. (Or, to see them properly, you could buy the painting).
