This little owl was inspired by the many characterful owls found in medieval manuscripts. My personal favourite is the owl from the Meermanno bestiary who looks like he may have overdosed on coffee (Museum Meermanno, MMW, 10 B 25, Folio 32v). My owl is printed in a very dark prussian blue (he may appear black on your computer screen but he is in fact a very deep blue).
This print is in a varied limited edition of 100 (it is also available in graphite grey). It has been hand printed using oil-based inks on British-made 300gsm Somerset paper. All prints are individually numbered and signed.
Minor variations occur naturally through the printmaking process and each print is original.
This print is unmounted and unframed.
Each print is board-backed, wrapped in cellophane and packaged carefully for shipping.
