Artist's description:

Still life with a single branch of dark purple hydrangea in a bulb shaped green vase.

I loved the milky green of this strangely shaped, artisanal vase opposing the dark purple of the flower.

The painting is painted in oils on a specially coated paper sized 30cm x 40cm: the mat size is 40cm x 50cm and will fit into a standard frame of this size. (The mat is larger than what you can see on the second picture, especially on the sides - I will add a new image with correct proportions soon.)

As you can see on one of the images, unfortunately when removing the masking tape, a little bit of the upper layer of the paper came off - this shows in the tiny dark spot beneath the signature, but will be covered by the mat. I lowered the price to make up for this little misfortune;)

Oil paintings on paper are inherently a bit duller than their counterparts on canvas or panel, so I would suggest using a frame with glass to get back some of the luster.
