This is a linocut print---one of a kind---based on a very large (40 x 60") watercolor I painted. While I may at some future time print this again, it will never look like this one. Each will be an original and distinctive. It is printed on handmade Japanese paper then dry-mounted to another, large piece of handmade Indian paper. Then, it is archivally framed with glass as the protective covering.
The framed size shown below is a close estimate. I forgot to measure it when I picked it up from the framer because I took it directly to a show.
I love to paint zebras and have done many throughout my painting career. I love the contrast and the beautiful abstract qualities of the patterning. (Each zebra has a distinct pattern, much like a fingerprint. ) And, in case you ever wondered, zebras are born black and then get the white parts as they grow older.
