Artist's description:

Abstract art titled "Cornish Blue" painted with beeswax mixed with damar resin, to raise the melting point. It is then mixed and fused with paint pigments to add colour to the finished piece.

I named this piece Cornish Blue, as it reminds me so much of the blue pottery pieces I used to dig up in our garden when I was a little girl growing up in Cornwall… I would collect all the pieces to see if I could make a complete cup or saucer…. I never did!! ;D

It has amazing colour, depth and texture.

100% Original and unique.

This picture is 46cm x 61cm in size by 2cm deep, painted directly onto a wooden panel, which has been prepared using an encaustic gesso.

The picture has 'cured' (hardening process) for around six months and is ready to hang (or you can frame if desired). It will not melt, or be affected at any normal temperatures, but like all valued art, should not be hung in direct sunlight, or kept in extreme locations.

The picture is signed and dated on the back.

For more information about encaustic wax and the process, see my website. .uk
