Artist's description:

This work is about modern day communications and communicating with the past. The main body of the piece consists of scans and photographs of various electronic circuit boards, all of which have been used in equipment within my own businesses since 1981. Amongst others the boards were salvaged from a fax machine, an 'installed' car phone, a dictaphone, a computer, a hard drive and a telephone answering machine and have been stored for years in preparation for making a sculptural piece called 'Office Block'. As this has never happened I decided to use the boards in a digital piece.

The connection to the past, and in particular to the Edwardian days of around 100 years ago come in the form of portrait postcards from that era along with advertisements and illustrations for some of the crude but effective photographic equipment of the day. These have replaced many of the integrated circuits and other components on the boards.

All my Limited Editions use 'C-type' matt Fujifilm 'Crystal Archive' photographic paper processed using traditional silver-based chemistry by the UK’s leading professional fine art lab in London. Each print has a 10 mm white border all round.

A Certificate of Authenticity bearing the title, edition number, digital signature and a uniquely numbered security hologram accompanies each print along with a duplicate hologram for fixing to the back of the print after framing.

My equipment is calibrated from camera right through to the print process so unless you are using a fully calibrated monitor the colors of your Limited Edition are very likely to be slightly different than it appears on your own screen.

Shipping price includes all packaging costs.
